During The Horrific Civil War
During the Horrific civil war in 1861 a boy named henry, a young private, joined the war without his mothers consent. Henry Fleming always dreamed about battling in the war his whole life almost. Leading up to the battle henry got put into a squad with; Wilson, Jim Conklin, The young lieutenant, the tattered soldier and the general. Henry and his squad would always talk about people fleeing from battle and they all thin that henry is going to run away when they get into battle. Henry didn't bother to think twice on how terrible and graphic these battles are. Henry remains strong and shows no fear to the battle.

The day that the soldiers go into battle henry starts to get nervous but doesn't show it, he still has not seen all the graphic

He is in the woods all alone and all he can hear is the gun shots. Henry just keeps walking further and further away from the battle until eventually he cant hear the gun fire anymore. He gets lost along the way, but he finds himself. During this long walk in the woods henry finds himself to become more strong and independent.

After a long day of fighting and strolling through the mysterious woods henry decides to turn around and go back to camp. After walking several miles henry finds people from his team in battle. He catches up with them, not telling anyone how he fled from battle. Henry thought the injured soldiers were funny and he had a nice talk with them on the way to camp. Henry kind of felt guilty because he had left the battle and then there are these people that stayed and got injured.

Henry is a very strong headed boy and he is brave but I feel as if he was too young to go into battle. He doesn't need to be seeing people bleeding out all over and lying dead on the ground with nothing to look forward to. henry had anxiety growing through his body. Almost every day he would see something terrible and sometimes he even lost people that met a lot to him which destroyed him even more. Eventually the war was over and henry got to go home to his loving
