They started to express their daily lives through sculptures and wall paintings, alongside these
paintings usually had hieroglyphics telling stories or simply explaining the picture being
captured. Another big thing during this time was creating a lasting afterlife for the pharaohs.
They carved elaborate tombs and basically what people today would call a casket for the dead.
When looking through the old paintings are wall carvings you could see when comparing it to

Even though men and women were supposedly
equal in some cases like art you can tell that it was still very much a world where men were
favored. Egypt did have a very powerful Queen at one point. Cleopatra’s family ruled egypt for a
long time before she was born. But when her father died her brother was suppose to be king but
he was too young at the time, so Cleopatra married her younger brother and ruled on behalf of
him because she was 18 years old. She became a very powerful ruler and like by many but also
hated by alot because of all the power she had. Even though men might of been the main parts of
Egypt history you could tell women had a lot of influences on art work. Like the fact that they
kept their gods looking unisex. Throughout time behind every successful man stood a strong
women. That was true even for the Egyptian society. The women during this time was treated
better than a lot of women in other parts of the world. Women could of been Pharaohs but only if
circumstances permitted like Cleopatra but besides that they were treated very much
