Dust Mites
There are two major species of dust mites, which are Dermatophagoides Pteronyssinus from Europe and Dermatophagoides Farina from Americas. Why dust mites had been regarded as one kind of indoor air pollutants? The point is that dust mites need a humid and warm environment to survive, and mankind’s home is just the perfect place for dust mites to survive and grow. Besides the environment, the sufficient food for dust mites is also the reason why there are a huge amount of dust mites in indoor places. Human’s activities, including dander from dead skin, and natural material furniture are both great and endless resources for dust mites.
Among all the indoor allergy sources, besides living creatures, the furniture would be another major cause.

This type of asthma accounts for half of all asthmatics. Allergens included, but are not limited to, are pollen, dust, and furry animals. Some dental materials such as resins, eugenol, impression materials, and latex can trigger an asthma attack (Grimes 135). The best way to prevent an event from occurring in the dental chair is to review the patient’s medical history to identify the dental triggers and not incorporate them in the…
