Dynamic Character In Sophia Calderwel From Sophia's War
What makes a dynamic character? A dynamic character is s character that changes throughout a novel because of a life event the character faces. A great example of this is Sophia Calderwel from Sophia’s War by Avi. This is a story about 3 years of a girls life from 1776 when the revolutionary war was still going on. After her brothers death she feels as if she has to avenge his death, so decides to become a spy.
In this book Sophia is a dynamic character because she went from being a scared stubborn child to a strong brave young woman. In the first couple of chapters in this book it is telling the reader that Sophia and her mother will be returning to their house bach in the city after a fire.
