Trust is the major motive to execute a business deal in general and in E-business specifically. The trust is the source of growth for the E-business acceptance, it requires the full attention from E-business owners to build trust with customers due to the uncertainty of the internet business privacy, security, quality, and policies. Dishonest transactions, poor quality, after sale communication and policies are the main issues when interacting with E-business, these issues actually are negligible compared to the good and honest transactions, however, the ideologies contribute to magnify these issues that prevent or lacks the technology spread, participation, …show more content…
A business magazines polls reveal that over forty percent of online users have the deep concerns regarding their personal information usage and fifty-seven percent are demanding regulation laws to protect personal information privacy (Harris Poll 2000). The reason behind such behavior was the failure of the major online business to adapt a fair information usage. The privacy concerns are the critical reason for providing false information online (Culnan 2000). E-business practices, user's uncertainty, and media accumulated the rise of privacy issues towards the online business.
While users address privacy as a basic human right property others –beside business owners- consider it as a trade necessity for developing and growth of business and adhere that methods and techniques will lose a major source of developing fuel. A huge and historical privacy debates occurred on several occasions; Etzioni [Etzioni 1999] defines privacy to be "a societally illegitimate", while Davies [Davies 1997] defines privacy to be "a squandered right".
Regardless of conflicts arises from the definition of privacy and consideration of benefits; each party can claim their point of view without precedence.
