Some people may not really understand the need of early intervention, maybe just heard the word. I enjoyed researching information about early intervention, I enjoyed putting my power point together to share, I also enjoyed sharing this information to others, this was a great experience for me, and I truly will like to do it again. I am glad that I had supports that was willing to listen to my presentation and accept the knowledge I had about early intervention. I’ am also glad that I was allowed to present my presentation. As I end this class I begin a new chapter in my life how to advocate for children and families. I became more confident about speaking to peoples in a small crowd, I gain confident to speak and project my voice so I can be heard and the audience can hear me speak. From my research experience I gain an understanding about the parents, involvement and concerns, and how to begin advocating for parents. From this experience I gain more courage to support situations that may need more attention, which has a
purpose. Understanding the reason behind advocating is good enough for me to continue my journey for advocating for early intervention. I will not stop here because my class is ending I will continue to support early intervention, invent t me a web page and invite my Kendall friends to engage in advocating and supporting one another for a good cause and a meaningful purpose.
