Our Company Description
In addition to our mission here at East Suburban News to provide full, fair news coverage, East Suburban will also do the following:
1.
Distinguish that majority groups usually have little misfortune sharing its interpretations, but that understated groups do not often share that position. Therefore, East Suburban News must be dedicated to antagonistically covering underrepresented groups to the best of our abilities. This does not automatically mean publishing more sections about “minority” matters and people. These stories are significant, but understated groups have a stake in the mainstream
2. Avoid making someone the single representative for an entire group or this entire community. This regularly instigates from necessitating a commanding source, like an organization leader, to talk about an event. That person becomes the go-to foundation for stories about issues faced by a specific group, but correspondents should be aggressive about accumulating sources from an extensive assortment of individuals in the …show more content…
community.
3. Avoid stereotyping and typecasting. Racism, sexism and any other reporting that humiliates degrades others will not be endured. As well as no reference should be made of a person’s race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, age or other identities unless it is appropriate to a story. This is particularly important to note in crime stories and suspect descriptions. It may be suitable to include racial identification if a suspect description includes other descriptors.
4. Create an open atmosphere within our own newsroom offices that welcomes a variety of views and encourages discussion between colleagues, readers, and sponsors.
Our Service
East Suburban News helps our readers become more knowledgeable citizens and make better decisions by providing a lot of truths.
Hard news stories, vital statistics, weather, sports stories and scores, and event calendars are examples of items that help enlighten our readers. Our editors write articles that help interpret, or explain, the meaning of news to readers. These stories often include the opinions of our writers or the newspaper management, editorials, opinion columns, news analysis, and reviews are some examples. Our newspaper stories can be responsible for information that helps readers solve their business, home, recreation, and daily living problems. Advertisements contribute in enlightening readers about merchandises and services. Hard news stories, feature stories, classified ads, and display ads are substances that deliver a provision. Some items in our website are premeditated to charm or provide gratification to readers. Feature stories, caricatures, brainteasers, and humor columns are entertainment items. To update, to understand, to deliver a service, and to keep amused are the four basic occupations of our website. We are also aware of our competitors and how to be prepared for them, “In business it's a constant war with competition to win business and grow market share. It's also a personal challenge to use all of this to focus inward and grow a business from nothing into a powerhouse that either makes a lot of money or is so effective that it is sold or
acquired for a profit as well.” (Bowser)

This can only be accomplished with a clear understanding of the customer and their perspective. Though we already have some information as states by Scott Stines, a writer for bottom line marketing, “Most of the information required to gain an understanding of our customers already exists in our business systems in circulation and advertising. When transaction (behavior) information is combined with online registration information, response to ongoing promotions and contests or surveys, it is possible to piece together a clearer picture of our customers and prospects to better understand their needs.”(Stines). To find out more statistics of whom would read our site we will conduct a series of surveys. Information received from the surveys will allow us to find out who lives in and around the area, there ages, occupation, interests, and the trends that important to them. East Suburban News can use this information to find what material to use to create article that will be generally useful and entertaining for the readers.
