Abstract
Eating disorders are very dangerous eating conditions that involve either overeating or not eating at all. There are two main eating disorders; anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. These disorders are taken very lightly in society. They are caused by some many factors and if they not caught early enough they can become fatal. These harmful habits shouldn’t begin to form at such a young age, but society gives our youth a certain image to go by. No one really understands the dangers of this disorder; it affects the person going through it and also the people around them. These disorders are very serious matters and shouldn’t be taken so lightly upon society.

Eating Disorders: Dying To Be Skinny
Eating disorders are usually eating conditions that involve overeating, voluntary starvation or both (Issues, 2010, Pg.1). People, mainly adolescent girls get so obsessed with body image and thinness leading to their eating disorder. Young girls and women are more likely to be affected by eating disorders than men because they see their selves different. Eating disorders may also be caused by psychological factors, such as depression: interpersonal factors, such as a trouble family life; and social factors, such as a cultural emphasis on physical appearance (Issues, 2010, Pg.1). The problem of eating disorders in society particularly teenagers, is a significant issue and often goes unnoticed.
