Biotic factors are all the living factors in an environment (Plants). While abiotic factors are all non-living factors in an environment. The three types of interactions that occur are biotic-biotic (Betta Fish eating Hornwort, or Fly eating leaves), biotic-Abiotic (Plants-Sunlight, or Betta Fish- Fish Food), and abiotic-abiotic (water eroding rocks, or sunlight heating the soil). The biotic factors I control are what seeds i plant, and the type of fish i buy. The abiotic factors i control are the amount of food the fish gets, how much water i give the plants, and how much sunlight the plants get.

A habitat is the natural home or environment of an animal, plant, or other organism. One in NH is a pond. A niche is an organisms job in its habitat. In a pond it is a turtles job to eat fish keeping the population under control. The aquatic plant in my ecosystem is Hornwort its niche is the provide my fish with food and to clear my water and limit algae growth.

Obvious changes in my ecocolumn are the growth of the plants. They have grown substantially and look healthy. This is probably because they are getting optimal amounts of sunlight and water. Also the fish is very active, although the water is a bit murky due to fish waste and soil leaking into the water when the plants are watered.

A food chain is how energy is passed on in an ecosystem. A food web is a system food chains that interlock. the difference between a food chain and a food web is that food chains show the SINGLE path energy takes as it is consumed by organisms while a food web shows all the possible interactions that can happen to that energy while it is in an organism.

There are two populations in my eco-column. There are two pea plants and two kidney plants. our eco-column is currently the healthiest in the class with the tallest plants and clearest water. the problem this causes is that since both these
