Eddie Rickenbacker's Story
Sometimes life can have its ups and downs but it’s all for a purpose. This crazy rollercoaster is a part of life and it’s just a ride until we get to where we need to be. We sometimes take our life for granted and aren’t as appreciative of what we have we should all be thankful for everything we have in our lives. Every up and down is for a reason so we shouldn’t give up so easily when things start to get hard. With every bad comes something good and we should all have a positive outlook on life and its twist and turns. Eddie Rickenbacker’s story is astonishing he and his crew survived out in the sea for 24 days without food or water. The fact that mostly all of them survived is inspiring. They didn’t lose hope when times were hard and

Why do people have horrible moments in their lifetime? Woody Allen said,” Life is divided into the horrible and the miserable”. This quote makes a connection to the book that we read, in the book there is a guy that is not being treated equally, his friends are trying to help him. This says that people have some days that are bad and some days that is good. One Book, The Only Alien On The Planet, the main character is jenny and she moves some other place. The conflict is that she meets this guy named Smithy and he doesn’t speak to anybody. We learn that we should not give up on our friends and always help…

I completely agree with this because life is definitely not always going to be how you want it to be. For instance, when you are going through life and it consists of turns and loops but it will always lead back into a positive point through time. When you’re on this so-called “rollercoaster” it is yourself that decides how thrilling or frightening your life is going to be. An example would be Michael Jordan in high school. During Michael Jordan’s sophomore year in high school he got kicked out the basketball team. This would unfortunately be a “down” for him on his “life rollercoaster”. But little did that coach know he became the best basketball player and athlete on the planet. So while Michael was going “up” on his rollercoaster, I know for sure that the coach definitely regretted his decision from cutting him from the team. This type of motivation should inspire the world to do great things and be the best that they can even though someone is telling you that you can’t do it. In other words never give up on what you love doing. Overall everybody has there ups and downs throughout life and when you are in the down part of life just know that there will be loop that will put you back up top of the…

We were just talked exactly what Akiva Goldsman, a movie producer, said: “the truth is, it’s not what happens to us. It’s what we do with it.” We cannot change what has happened to us, but we can change how we accept realities and how we deal with them. I have a friend who comes to me to say “my life sucks.” She always takes anything negatively even if what has happened to her doesn’t seem that bad for my other friends and I. Talking to her has reminded me that depends on how we look at an event, one’s life can be totally different.…

For me Dan Lewis's view of "life being a smorgasbord" does apply. Life's is like a food buffet with many experiences, some you may like and some you may not but that's okay because you will try them all anyway. When you look at your life you should think of where you are now, where your going and your accomplishments. An example of my life beiong a smorgasbord is when my 7-year-old twin brothers were born. They had been through multiple heart surgeries, many months in Dayton Childrens and still to this day are fully functioning. They were born with chagre syndrom. You go to bed on eday thinking everything is okay, your life is on track and it'll all be thge same tommorrow, the next day and the day after that, but then you wake up and youre…

It has been said that life can never be carried out and truly lived to its fullest unless there has been some sort of suffering and pain. Mistakes are to be learned from, and a hard past can only result in a stronger present. Though many might find themselves alone in their misery the truth is they are not, everyone has struggles. We all have our ups and downs, but it is how we react to them that truly matters. Life is life and no matter what, giving up on lifelong dreams and aspirations because of a few bumps in the road should never be an option.…

The only thing more confusing than a roller coaster is life. There are many ups and downs, twists and turns, and just when we think it’s getting interesting, it comes to a complete stop. Much like the roller coaster, life starts out slow, inching its way towards some big event, some powerful happening. It seems like it takes forever to get to that moment, the top of the roller coaster. The only thing you can do is close your eyes and hold on for the climb.…
