On April 11th 2003 at 10:30 PM, Edin’s mother, Dalila Subašić gave birth to Edin at Misericordia hospital on floor 4. It was the happiest day of Dalila’s and his father, Hajrudin’s life. When he was born his weight was 9 pounds and 11 ounces, because he was supposed to be due on April 1st or 2nd he had gotten too big and Dalila had to get a c-section. Edin was so big that when he was born he had to wear 3 month old clothes! Also, Hajrudin had cut the cord when he was born. The hospital was so close that they walked there! Edin’s parents’ lived in an apartment right next to West Edmonton Mall which was very convenient for them. They got the inspiration for his name by Dalila’s grandfather who suggested it to …show more content…
them.
Through ages 1-5 nothing interesting happened Edin was a very quiet and behaved baby.
Everybody in his family thought he was a nice baby, so life was peaceful for everyone so far. He went to preschool but nothing else really happened.
When Edin turned 6 something big happened… On April 29th 2009, Dalila had given birth to a daughter! Edin’s new little sister named Ayla was born at 7 pounds 11 ounces. Edin was at his grandparents at the time, Sadmira and Sead Cehić. Edin’s grandparents drove him to Royal Alexandra hospital where his only sibling was born. He got to hold his sister for the first time before his family drove to his grandparents’ house where the rest of his family came to see the new addition to the family. He soon learned how annoying a little sister could be.
Through grades 1-4 Edin got average grades and there was no problem. When he got to grade 5 his writing and other academic skills exponentially increased, he got all A’s on core subjects and aced all of his spelling tests. When he got to grade 6 he got even better grades! He was very interested in Social Studies and politics so he always excelled in it. He even got 100% on a test he didn’t even study for! At the end of the year he got 92% on Math and 88-91% on the other core subjects. This made it so he could apply to be enrolled in honours classes and he might have had an advantage as he has very good relations with his Social Studies teacher who might have been a curriculum
coordinator.
When he finished high school, he graduated with honours and went on to the University of Alberta and studied for five years, graduated with distinction and gained a PhD in Nuclear Chemistry. After that, Hajrudin has a lot of connections within his company he works with, TransAlta. So he got Edin a job in the company who had just started experimenting with nuclear energy and such. He quickly rose through the ranks and became head manager of the nuclear department,
