The key to recommending Riverside Credit Union's marketing plan is to determine the importance of each sector to either the short term or long term profitability of this financial institution. There are clues given so it is important to organize the information according to segment and marketing mix element. For example, community involvement differentiates RCU from the traditional banks, therefore a public relations campaign should be included in the marketing plan. The financial products are largely undifferentiated, but the level of service need not be, suggesting customer service training. Some products are short term while others are longer term so investing timeframe needs to be discussed. For example, RSPs and Mortgages are longer term, with mortgages providing greater risk. This compares favourable versus short term savings accounts or short term loans, again with loans providing greater risk.…

A main conflict is the main problem that a character has in a story, or the main problem of the story. The author uses a main conflict to keep the problems rotating around the main problem to make an impact in the story. The main conflict shows many sides of the story. For example, internal and external conflicts. Also it makes sense to the reader when they are reading the novel. By examining the external conflict, the internment/work camps, the internal conflict with a minor character, and the external conflict that happened in "Sick Bay", can we see the main conflict in Joy Kogawa's novel, Obasan.…

There connection between human motivation and behavior modification in my opinion and that is because all behavior follows a set of consistent rules. Methods can be developed for defining, observing, and measuring behaviors, as well as designing effective interventions. Behavior modification techniques never fail. Rather, they are either applied inefficiently or inconsistently, which leads to less than desired change. All behavior is maintained, changed, or shaped by the consequences of that behavior. Could it be for positive or negative reinforcement or positive or negative punishment. With that said human motivation is that desire that fuels us to do certain things based on our wants and needs. If a person wishes to meet these wants and needs, then it necessitates him or her to motivate himself so that he can make certain moves. A person is unique and apart from another so his wants and needs vary greatly from that of the other. The same is true for the people's levels of motivation.…

Health care delivery related to the “boarding” of emergency department (ED) patients is a critical area of quality of care improvement for emergency medicine. Boarding is the process of holding patients in the ED for extended periods of time after an inpatient bed request is made (Asplin, et al., 2003). Boarding is widespread and interrelated to ED crowding. The Institute of Medicine (IOM) in 2006 reported that, ‘”boarding not only compromises the patient’s hospital experience, but adds to an already stressful work environment, enhancing the potential for errors, delays in treatment, and diminished quality of care’’ (Havens & Boroughs, 2006). This paper examines quality of care for boarded ED patients using Donabedian’s framework of structures,…
