Our concern however is the purpose of education. I believe that it should instill in the mind a library of ideas, beliefs and attitudes. There are many examples of people who fulfilled their life's ambitions and attained great status without education, but let it be remembered that these were exceptional people who succeeded in spite of this lack, and not because of it.…

Before I begin my comment, for me, the term “education” means to graduate from university. Similarly, to survive in this world is to get a job and earn enough money for you and your family. In my point of view, I think human being is unable to live properly in this modern world without education. It is a productive and beneficial factor in a person’s life that everyone’s right to get. The training of a human mind is not completed without education. While you are educated, you learn thousand of things such as communication, technology, leadership skill, particular work skill, etc. Like Aristotle (a Greek philosopher and polymath) said, “The educated differ from the uneducated as much as the living differ from the dead”. Because of technology, education and other factors make the world develops everyday. Therefore, education is very important and necessary for you to get a good job and outstand in society especially nowadays when there is high competition on work place. For example, in January 2013, around 13 million (8.5%) of population in United States are unemployed, reported by the Current Population Survey (CPS). It shows that it is not easy to find a job and to work for a company, if you don’t have a certain level of education. At least, you are required a degree or a master graduate certificate. The importance of learning in enabling the individual to put his potentials to optimal use is self-evident. Without education, the training of the human minds is incomplete. No individual is a human being in the working world until he has been educated in the proper sense. Now I'm not saying you're not a human being without education. The mind was made to be trained and without education, a person is incomplete in that sense. Education makes man a right thinker and a correct decision-maker. It achieves this by bringing him knowledge from the external world, teaching him to reason, and acquainting him with past history, so that he may be a better judge of the present. Without education, man, as it were, is shut up in a windowless room. With education, he finds himself in a room with all its windows open to the outside world. In other words, people who are not educated have less opportunity to do what they want to do.…
