Edward Scissorhands Essay

In the film “Edwards Scissorhands”, the character Edward was portrayed as a strange or scary person to the people of the town. He has scissors for his hands, which makes him very useful and unique in the town. When Edward was on screen, he always had eerie music playing in the background to add terror to his character. Despite all the fear the townspeople had for him, they began to accept who he was. The community enjoyed his presence due to him being able to help them with yard work and hair cutting. The movie went smoothly until a massive problem arose. Edward had a crush on Peg's daughter Kim. The movie portrays a lot of romance and some loneliness, which I think makes for an interesting mix.

The plot of the story is about Edward. He was a man-made project that was created by the inventor and the owner of his home. After Edwards accidentally kills the man, he was left alone in the house having to fend for himself. Luckily, Peg finds Edward in the house alone and invites him to come live with their family despite his appearance. He was doing well in the city until he found out he had a crush on Peg's daughter Kim. When Kim's boyfriend finds out that Edward likes his girlfriends, it creates massive conflict between the two characters, which leads to Edward getting framed.
