Review Phoenix Career Plan results of Career Plan Building Activity: Work Culture Preference, respond to the following in 50 to 100 words each:

1. Describe your ideal study environment.

My ideal study environment would be a very quiet room with no TV. or distractions. I would want no one to bother me while I am trying to study and complete my assignments for school

2. List some of the distractions that might hinder your study progress or your performance in an online classroom.

There would be a lot of distractions like my son and family while trying to study or complete my assignment. My job can be another one if they ask me to work over time when I need to complete my assignments. Some other distractions would be TV., phone, video games, and just not concentrating on my homework.

3. What actions can you take to manage and eliminate distractions?

One action that I will take is on taking control of my time. I will create a daily plan that will help me complete my daily tasks.

4. How will you apply your personal learning style? How does your personal Learning style affect your study habits?

How does your personal Learning style affect your study habits? The way I will apply my personal learning style is to write out on flash cards and take better notes so I can absorb the information I need to learn. I am a visual learner but sometimes the information does not comprehend. I will spend hours and hours going over the same information trying to learn it. I believe flash cards and taking better notes will help me when I study and just helping me with information on homework even.

5. List 5 effective study strategies from this week that you will use. Explain why you selected them and why they are effective strategies for online learning.

Annotation-use my own word, make sure that I write in the margins since this is my notes write what will make studying easier for me. Being able to study and retain information is important.

Focused reading –set reading goals know the purpose of what you are reading

Effective note taking- Pay attention to what you’re hearing or reading, make sure that notes are organized with details.

Concentration-by making a list of what I am going to do and study at the same time and place will help you concentrate.

Study environment-having a quiet and comfortable place free of distractions

6. Identify one change you can make immediately to increase the effectiveness of your study habits. Explain how this will help you become more effective.

One change that I can make immediately to increase my study happens is, by taking better notes and studies them more often. I notice from reading this week’s reading that I am spending too much time trying to write down more information from the chapter and not I am absorbing what I am reading. The tips about setting reading goals and annotating will help annotation is kind of hard but I am working on it.

7. How does your personal learning style relate to your ideal workplace and your personal work competencies?

My personal learning style does relate to my ideal workplace and my personal work competencies by allowing me to learn visual and hands on. My job is more of a visual job to begin with since I work as a production planner. I have to schedule production and order raw materials and help watch the production line all day

8. How is understanding your ideal learning environment applicable to selecting your ideal workplace?

When you understand your ideal learning environment you will be able to apply the same things you learned at school and bring it to work with you. You want the environment at work to be the same as your room with less distraction and very easy to concentrate. When you find the ideal atmosphere you will be able to have a work place with less stress and you will always want to come to work.
