The goal of the presentation was to train future paraprofessionals in their role and expectations as it relates to school policy. Reflective practice includes seeing learning as an iterative process. The significance of reflecting on that process has been termed ‘action science’. The process of learning is perceived as a complex social activity that cannot be reduced to simplistic thinking. Reflection plays an integral role both in the action and learning from the action. I attended a Board of Supervisors meeting on January 22, 2014. It was set to begin at six o’clock in the evening, and I began recording notes at 5:52.
