Effects Of Love In Romeo And Juliet
Young love can have many problems, but it also has many positive outcomes. It has many ups and downs that cause problems between characters because their minds have not yet matured. In the play Romeo and Juliet, by Shakespeare, the secrets of love and the unknown about love at first sight causes many problems between the characters. Keeping love a secret or who someone loves a secret causes many problems. Romeo and Juliet fall in love and they both keep it a secret from their families. While Romeo and Juliet are married, the Capulets, unaware of Juliet's lover plan a wedding for Juliet to marry Paris. Lady Capulet explains to Paris, “marry, my child, early next morn”(Shakespeare 3.5.117). Lady Capulet has no idea that Romeo and Juliet are in love, so she continues planning the wedding. Romeo and Juliet fall in love at first sight and later find their families are rivals. After Juliet kisses Romeo she realises he “love[s] a loathéd enemy”(1.5.155). Juliet realises that the one she has fallen in love with belongs to the enemy family, the Montagues. Romeo and Juliet falling in love and learning they belong to different houses creates problems, it makes it very hard for them to meet and their parents will not allow marriage. Romeo and Juliet have such strong love that they hate to be apart. After meeting only a few ago they both take their lives as it would be better that to live without the other. Juliet finds Romeo dead and she kisses him hoping “some poison yet doth hang on [Romeo's lips]”(5.3.175). Juliet tried to kill herself with the poison romeo took but it did not work. She then uses Romeo's dagger to kill herself. They have such strong love that it ended in death, all starting with blindly falling in love with the enemy house.
