This type of technology directly impacts how we go through our daily lives, and it continues to evolve at a rapid pace. The way in which this technology impacts lives can normally be managed by the individual user. The speed in which it brings information to the public is unprecedented. Everyone with a smartphone or tablet has access to limitless information right at their fingertips.
The way in which people communicate as a result of smartphone technology has changed dramatically. There tends to be less of a verbal connection between individuals due to digital communication. This impact can be seen when eating dinner at a restaurant and looking around the room. There are many benefits to the evolution of cell phone technology. Teachers and students are able to access information instantly. This saves both time and money in certain situations. Smartphone technology has been used in medical research and treatment that has continued to improve the quality of life of patients across the globe. This technology has also been used by law enforcement and has aided in locating missing children with alerts being sent directly to people's smartphones. The ease in which most users of all ages are able to operate a smartphone is astounding.

The digital divide is beginning to close. The flow of digital information – through mobile phones, text messaging, and the Internet – is now reaching the world’s masses, even in the poorest countries, bringing with it a revolution in economics, politics, and society. Now, people simply carry a 200 gram device in their pockets and can travel the world, always connected to their loved ones and business partners, no matter in whatever remote part of the world they are. (However, in certain countries, mobile coverage…
