Egalitarianism In America
Even though I agree with the principle that all men and women are created equally and should be treated equally, I do not believe that America can ever be a truly egalitarian society. The first reason I believe that egalitarianism in America is unattainable is that egalitarianism is difficult to achieve in any society because there will always be a bias toward a specific race, gender, or background, which will lead to a certain group of people consistently getting opportunities that others will not. This situation is unavoidable because humans are programmed to make preferences, and they will make decisions based on their preferences.     Social oppression is socially supported mistreatment and exploitation of a group or category of people by anyone.
