Julius Caesar
Julius Caesar
Julius Caesar is a play composed by William Shakespeare, in which revolves around two fundamental qualities egotism and power. During the play many effects were used to emphasize the themes and help the audience understand the whole purpose of the play. Through the play numerous techniques were valuable in captivating the audience, while others were not as so. The lightening alongside the actors tremendously helped the play, while the stage setup was not as helpful in improving the play.
The main theme in the play as mentioned above was egotism and power. The protagonist of the play are Caesar and Brutus. Both of these romans are always constantly talking about how to make Rome a better …show more content…
The primary conflict between Brutus and his mind is where Cassius is telling him that Brutus should be the king and not Caesar, which triggers sequence of events that lead to the downfall of Caesar who was Brutus’s best friend. My most loved performer all through the play was Jake Offen who played Brutus, who made a huge showing with regards to of keeping me engaged all through the play. The principle motivation behind why I picked Jake is that, I for one am a performer at my sanctuary. I do dramatizations which include articulation of feelings and I know precisely how hard it is and for Jake's situation I could feel inside that each feeling he appeared on the stage permitted me to comprehend what sort of issues were happening within Brutus. Jakes ability to raise his voice to emphasize his thoughts kept me engaged throughout the play. Maddie did an amazing job of acting Caesar, but since this was a predominantly a play …show more content…
A considerable amount of the costumes was all black and modern styled. Rather I had an inclination that it could have been more of an empire style clothing, this kind of pulled me away from the understanding of the play. For example, towards the end when the battle takes place, if the characters dressed up as Roman soldiers with helmets, and metal plates or even have spears or real swords and daggers, like you would depict in old Roman times, it could have improved the play much better. Caesar is a valiant king so Maddie’s clothing suited her role, because at that time colors like purple and white exemplified virtue and power, not only that if she also had worn the armor all the time that could have made her a dominant figure even more. Amid the play the usage of props could have added a little more creativity because in the scenes where Caesar’s room is being portrayed it could have used things like a bed instead of the hydraulic floor, that was used. Another thing that could have helped the production of the play, is the environment. I will say the environment was a bit dull and plane since there was just grey everywhere, if the special effects team has some sort of projector to help the audience picture that they are in the Roman era, or a building that looks Roman, could have tremendously impacted the play. But the way the characters drank wine which demonstrated how
