Intro:
Many rebellions happen all around the world yearly, and the reasoning behind most of those rebellions are often related with people opposing to the decisions that an authority has made. As a result, this was also one of the main reasons why the Tunisian Revolution began. Also, rebellions are often used as a tool to preserve precious cultural values when an ethnicity or race feels that someone will take over what they possess; and this was the case during the Red River Rebellion. When brought together, these rebellions show how an organized and well planned revolution, can lead to a successful outcome.

A common aspect that both events had is that both of them had organized leaders that were leading their followers. For example, the leader in the Red River Rebellion was Louis Riel, while in the Tunisian Revolution was the group of unemployed college graduates. Another aspect that these events have in common is that the government ended up offering what the people wanted and needed. For instance in the Red River Rebellion, the Metis got what they wanted which was having Montreal join the confederation, while in the Tunisian Revolution, the Tunisians got what they needed which is to lower the prices of the necessities in life. On the other hand, an aspect that the Red River Rebellion was different than the Tunisian Revolution is that the whole community went to protest, while in the Tunisian Revolution, it was mostly young people who rebelled. Another aspect that is different is that during the Tunisian Revolution, police would shoot the protesters if they weren't following their demands, while in the Red River Rebellion, the Canadian Party only threatened to attack the Metis. All in all, these rebellions show how each and every rebellion has it own pros and cons and that, with an organized leader, it can achieve a positive
