“Egypt’s Golden Empire”
“Egypt’s Golden Empire” is a PBS documentary about the rise and fall of the New Kingdom of Egypt. The documentary gives a detailed review of the history of the once great empire of Egypt from around 1520 B.C. when Egypt was taken back from the Hyksos to around 1069 B.C. At the end of the New Kingdom. The movie shows reenactments from great battles to pharaohs’ everyday life. It tells us of highly regarded pharaohs and of the pharaoh ancient Egyptians wanted erased from history. Many experts are interviewed and discuss the mysterious history of Egypt in this documentary.
