The glands are organs that remove certain elements from the blood to convert them into new compounds. There are two types of glands, the exocrine and the endocrine glands. The reproductive system performs the functions of reproducing and passing on the genetic codes from one generation to another. Females have the ovaries, uterine tubes, uterus, and vagina. Males have testes, prostate gland, penis, and the urethra.
The digestive system is also called the gastrointestinal system. The digestive system is responsible for changing food into nutrients and waste. It consists of the mouth, stomach, intestines, salivary and gastric glands.
The excretory system purifies the body by getting rid of waste. This includes the kidneys, liver, skin, intestines and the left and right lung. Each organs plays a vital role in the excretory system. The kidneys excrete urine, the liver discharges bile, the skin eliminates perspiration, the large intestine eliminates decomposed and undigested food, and the lungs exhale carbon dioxide. The respiratory system contains the left and right lung and enable breathing, supplies the body with oxygen, and eliminates carbon dioxide as a waste
