He was stationed in Panama where he would practice battle strategies making him one of the smartest men in the military. All of this training would come to play but it was not time yet. A young Ike was ready and it was shown as a retired general said “well this is perhaps one of the most brilliant men in the whole dang military!” His time would come in WW2 where he would get his shot at a general position.
During this time Ike would show supreme leadership. His wartime speech is not just a call to action but, a call for America to act as one. In this speech he called all those who knew the struggle of war. This made the speech heartfelt which would inspire all who listened. He clearly defined the enemy and gave you, the listener the goal. These skills have been built through years of work. This is the pivotal moment that changed his image in the public eye, later changing his career and life.
WW2 did not change Eisenhower a bit. The man was focused with a goal in mind that would not change. These years in the 40’s showed his intelligence, thus launching him to true stardom.
