Eisenhower's Life And Accomplishments

“Accomplishment will prove to be a journey, not a destination.” Hello, I am Dwight David Eisenhower, people also called me by my nickname “Ike”(nod). I was born on October 14, 1890 in Denison,Texas, but later we moved to Abilene, Kansas. My family consisted of my three siblings and my parents David and Ida Eisenhower. I grew up in a poor family in Abilene. I enjoyed doing different outdoor activities with friends and playing sports. I became a very good athlete when I was in school which earned me an appointment to West Point Academy where I graduated at the top of my class.

After my graduation, I began my military career. In 1942, I was promoted to chief of staff. In his year, the United States engaged in a war with countries part of Axis Power(shake head disagreeing with the enemy's cause). My knowledge of this war impressed General Marshall which got me a promotion. My new rank was Supreme Allied Commander in London which put me in charge of the the largest military invasion in history. His war is known as D-Day.
I was buried at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, Kansas next to the house I grew up in.

Before I died I became president and during my presidency I strengthened Social Security and created a massive new Interstate Highway. And so I am remembered for the things I have done and by the different exhibits representing me they are around the United
