El Cid makes prince Alfonso swear on the Bible that his didn't kill prince Sancho , feeling disrespected , prince Alfonso kicks El Cid out of the kingdom. Alfonso then tells Cid that if he doesn't meet his in a battle then he will never be able to come back. Ximena also follows her husband. Fast forward to the ending a man named Count ordóñez reunited with El Cid and together they protect others. Because of El Cids heroic greatness he is offered the crown from the people of Valencia. El Cid says he doesn't believe he deserves the crown , and instead asks the Valencias to give the crown to prince Alfonso who is worthy. After the crowing of Alfonso , el Cid decides to go back in to battle with Ben Yusuf. Through out the battle , El Cid is doing amazing and keeping his strength.
