El Paso Zoo
El Paso zoo educates over an estimated 350,000 people a year many of them being students on school field trips. The Zoo offers many activity’s for volunteer work, and holds educational programs and tours including sleepovers, and a behind the scene tour on how and where the animals kept afterhours. If that’s not enough you can also get involved with the zoo by being a volunteer working with zoo keepers, interacting with public visitors and helping in special events held at the zoo, you can also donate to the zoo with all proceedings going to animal care and facility upgrades to further comfort the animals. I’m going to walk you through the experience I had walking through our zoo and talk about programs they offer. After walking through the main entrance gates past the gift shop you will find yourself waking into the Africa region of the zoo, walking up the pathway the first thing you can spot is a train station and a train that will take you on a ride around the Africa region. Boarding the train, after …show more content…
Entering the Asia region you pass a café where you can stop and get something to eat and drink because by this point you will be tired of walking. Next door are the massive Asian Elephants slowly pacing around their exhibit. The Sumatran Orangutan Ape casually lays in his tree next to the Elephant and Amur Leopard, as I walked passed these exhibits I wondered how the animals react to each other when they get near each other in the real wild. Some of my favorite animals in the region were definitely the Malayan Sun Bear and the colorful Malayan Tiger. The entire walkthrough of the zoo took about two hours. The El Paso Zoo also hold other activity’s for people to get a better experience and knowledge on the animals such as field trips
Rubalcaba 3 for students and Badge programs for scouts. The El Paso Zoo is a great spot for family fun and an amazing source of

Unlike Roswell which only has three or four tourist site to visit since it is such a small town. In El Paso there is a huge downtown with a bunch of shopping centers and which is well known Mexican because it is located right next to the Juarez, Mexico border. Now the downtown of Roswell is quite small and has very few shops and is the center of the Alien museum which is the number one tourist site found in Roswell today. The last two tourist site found in Roswell would be the fair, and many festival held in Roswell, and the zoo. Roswell well is a very boring place to visit but a good place to live. Unlike the few attractions found in Roswell, El Paso has a lot more, like a zoo, baseball stadium, coliseum, Bobos, several types of museums, and a water park. Most importantly the major attractions found in El Paso is the four huge malls. People come to El Paso just to shop at the outlet mall or the other three malls. There is way more stuff to do with family and places to see in El Paso than in Roswell. Roswell is not really known for its tourist sites anyways. El Paso is definitely a better place to visit than…

My initial thoughts about going having to go to the zoo for this project was that it was going to be challenging yet fun, Challenging in the sense that with my post traumatic stress disorder from the military because I have trouble being around crowds of people which is why I supposed that is why I chose to go to the Santa Ana zoo since I knew that there would be less people there, Fun in the sense that I have not been to a zoo since I was a little kid which made me excited to not only see the primate exhibit for this project but to also check out some of the other animals that were at the zoo.…

On Wednesday September 16th of 2015, I will be going to the Smithsonian National Zoo with a group of my friends. The Zoo was founded in 1889. It is one of the oldest zoos in the world. There are 1800 animals that live in the zoo. One of the most famous spots in the zoo for tourists to see is the Giant Panda exhibit. The giant pandas recently just gave birth to baby pandas. I have only been to the Smithsonian National Zoo once. I went in eighth grade for a school wide field trip. I love seeing animals and going to the zoo. Back where I am from (Delaware) there are not any zoos or big public attractions for young kids and teenagers.…

On Saturday, February 27, 2016, an absolutely beautiful day in Houston, Texas, the opportunity came to mind to make a trip to the Houston Zoo. Arriving the smell of fresh planted herbs and assorted roses, in magnificently worked landscapes, blended with a diversity of people with enough laughter to bring a smile, to put one at ease. This trip my intentions were focused on hopefully sharing, quality time with a primate. Observing their life through glass windows in the day room, moving to the outside containment, where there were two Western Low back Gorillas, napping under large distant shade trees. The outside containment was clean, but limited their ability of freedom. Parking myself where one could evaluate and…

. LA zoo is fantastic and there are plenty of animals to observe. The employees were friendly and provided educational facts to the public. This is the second time that I visit LA Zoo because I want to observe the activities and behavior of some selected primates. I spent most of the time observing all the animals and learning about them and their native habitats. LA Zoo is laid out by continental area, so the primate exhibits are scattered throughout the zoo. I began with the New World monkey located in the South American section of the zoo. In exhibit area 75, I saw three species of New World monkeys. All of these species have prehensile tails. These species are the black-handed spider monkey, black howler monkey, and crested capuchin monkey.…
