Elaphebolion 2, 426 Today was a wonderful day. The day began with an early start. I woke up and adorned myself with my finest peplos. The men were all reclined on couches. The initial dinner was brought in and we dinned. Once the dinner was completed the men all washed there hands and then a libation of undiluted wine was poured in honor of the god Dionysus. The party then proceeded and I began to play my lyre. During the party, I noticed a slave walk out for minute. I don't know what compelled me but, I followed him out. As I followed him I witnessed him meet with another person. After about a minute I realized who the slave at met with. It was Lysandros’s wife. I was taken aback. I had no idea what I should do at the moment. I walked back to the party. And tried to continue on like nothing had happened. Lysandros talked to me for a bit, I said nothing to him of what I had just witnessed. Once the symposium ended, I went home where I sit now contemplating what I should do. If I tell Lysandros, I would tarnish the reputation of his wife.
