Elder's Advice

Elder’s opinions are worth for us. We should always take their advice before doing some activity. Our elders can contribute to the success that we have in the future of our lives. Elders can determine our lives because we lack what they have, and that is experience. When the Elders advice is truly sincere, it is given to me in the hopes that I might take it, but it should never make me feel guilty if I don't. In this day and age, the world has been changing in a rapid pace. Some people claims that the advice from elder people have no use because they are too antiquated and outdated, while others seems to disagree with the statement as they argue that elder people usually have an abundance of experiences to give advice to us even in today's society. I have developed my own point of view as well. For me, I believe that the advice from our Elders is still useful. There are several reasons to support my position.

First of all, I believe that despite the changing of modern world, there still are existences of some values like 50 years ago so our Elders are supposed to be the best guide of us. For example, people today are not encouraged to do immoral things such as stealing, robbery or lying. Meanwhile, the humanity seems not to change a lot during the 50 years ago. Therefore, I think that elder people can give advice about how to deal with our interpersonal relationships and even how to recognize those good from bad.

In addition, our Elders may probably be the people who know us best except our parents so the advice from them can be very suitable to us. For instance, I still remember when I finished my tenth board exams, I was deciding what my major ambition is, and I asked my Elders for advice. They understand what my personalities are and what kind of things that I am good at so they suggested that I can choose architecture as my major ambition. Now I graduated from architecture department and I really appreciate the advice they gave because I am
