• Multi-function display (MFD) or Navigational Display (ND)
• Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System (EICAS) display. Primary Flight Display (PFD)
 Primary Flight Display or PFD is a modern aircraft instruments which shows all flight information ( like airspeed, altitude, attitude, vertical speed etc.) all in one.  Primary flight display gives a good representation of the aircraft's current flight state. It also simplifies the pilot's workflow.

Navigational Display
• The ND (Navigational Display) displays navigational and weather information from multiple systems.
• Can also be use to view other non-overlay type of data(e.g., current route plan) and calculated overlaytype data (e.g., winds, aircraft speed and altitude).
• Multi-function display can also display information about aircraft systems, such as fuel and electrical systems. Engine Indicating and Crew
Alerting System (EICAS)
• EICAS displays information about the aircraft’s system,

including its fuel, electrical and propulsion system.

Now let’s see how it works in a vehicle and controls the subsystems and send directions. It is actually kind of small computer which take readings from the electronic sensors which are installed in the system as well as in subsystems and then interprets the needs of that vehicle. Actually many of the car’s components and even the engine systems can be control through electronic control unit. By taking reading from the sensors ECU is able tell the time of intervals of scheduled maintenance for the vehicle. When any problem detected ECU tries to send messages to the operator of the vehicle through the instrument cluster. It is even helpful to adjust the fuel levels in cold weather to ensure the smooth running of the car. It is like a personal mechanic riding along with you when ever you are driving your car to ensure the smooth running and controlling the automotive system of your vehicle.…

Some common computer icons are taken from the broader field of standardized icons used across a wide range of electrical equipment. Examples of these are the power symbol and the USB icon, which are found on a wide variety of electronic devices. The standardization of electronic icons is an important safety-feature on all types of electronics, enabling a user to more easily navigate an unfamiliar system. As a subset of electronic devices, computer systems and mobile devices use many of the same icons; they are incorporated into the design of both the computer hardware and on the software. On the hardware, these icons identify the functionality of specific buttons and plugs. In the software, they provide a link into the customizable settings.[3]…
