you do in situation where students are feeling ill and advice on what to do when students get done with their work early. These are important to me because I don’t want my students thinking they “trick” me into them being sick when they really aren’t. Pappalardo (2011) gave some good examples, “Foot pain, leg pain, arm pain (without swelling)” = "If it hurts, don't move it." “Stomach hurts either before or after lunch = "You're hungry." Or, "You just ran around with a full belly. It will go away.” (paragraph 9,10) I felt like he covered the basic questions that students try to ask just to get out of work and as a future teacher it really help sort out the “fakers” from the sick ones. I have to agree with Pappalardo (2011) when he talked about student behavior after they are done with work. He also discusses about having a back up plan and thus far in all of classes I have been taught to not just let students sit there with nothing to do when they complete an assignment. I feel that a teacher that is well prepared with other things for students to do once they finish will not have to worry with behavioral issues. Overall this was a great article because it really made me think of these disruptions happening in my classroom and what I am going to do to prevent them.
