Cleofilas father wanted her to have a normal life with the man of her dreams and live happily ever after. Since the day she was born, Cleofila was a strong independent young
lady. Things were not so easy for her because she was the only woman in her family. All of her siblings including her father were very over protected among her. She met a guy, which fell in love with her and wanted to live far from home and family. She was afraid of leaving with the love of her life, her siblings reaction was not too far. Nevertheless, inside her character as Cleofilas she made sense of how to get learning of her polite qualities, through sitting before the TV, and aching for a presence as she in vision on TV, which she watched religiously. What the problem was at the begging is that Cleofilas father wanted her to get married with Juan Pedro. She abandons her dad and six siblings in Mexico and drives to "el otro lado” which in English means the opposite side with Juan Pedro to begin another life as his better half in a shaky house in a dusty little Texas town. Over a stream called Woman Hollering Creek, Cleofilas soon finds that she has left the exhausting yet quiet life she imparted to her dad and six siblings for the wild, forlorn, urgent existence of a lady with a damaging spouse.
