Elli Monologue
The new coach seemed quite peculiar, and it wasn’t because of his third eye. Some might say it was the way he spoke, like a machine, or maybe it was his eye color. However, if I looked at him closely enough, he almost looked like Donkey from that movie with the ogre guy. Y’know the one that asks, “Why are you in my swamp?” Yeah. Him. Besides that, he might be an ogre himself. I’m not acting paranoid if that’s what you’re thinking. Of course, I’m not! Maybe we’ll never know what’s behind his fake act. I honestly believe I am the only one who could see his true deep, black eyes. Everyone else was focused on the painted eye that was displayed in his forehead. It was normal and contrasted greatly from his real irises. In fact, the painted eye was …show more content…
Sham inquired; he was obviously taking attendance of the teenagers that cared about their grades and went to class. “Present, Sir” The girl answered. Elli was a small, quiet girl. Stereotypically, people would think she only had a few friends. On the contrary actually, she was fairly popular. This could cause her to pass out, and only very few have ever seen this happen. Her eyes would roll back slightly, like a basketball rolling down a court with very little momentum. She would drop to the floor as if gravity was giving her a large embrace unless a strong, trembling pair of arms caught her. It was by, partially, swiftness and pure luck if those arms caught good Elli. Those mighty limbs were mine. “Grace?” Sham speaks out with a hint of despair in his voice. I could sense his sorrow and mourning in the way he …show more content…
I tried to lift Mr. Sham’s spirits, but to no avail. Sham continued through the list of children and carried on with the activity scheduled for today. We practiced aiming and kicking a ball into a net with himself as the goalie. Mr. Sham was terrible at soccer and shooting the goal in the net was not a difficult task. He sounded depressed and slugged around class for the whole class period. I went to go into the female locker room, to change, but Elli stopped me on the way out. “He gives me an eerie sensation in my chest,” The meek teenager stated with a shaky voice. “I know, Elli. He frightens me as well.” I replied to her. The bell rung and I headed towards Health and Science with Ms. Luma. This is my only class with Elli. We only has 5 minutes to arrive to our destination, so I threw my bag over my shoulder and ran with E, my nickname for Elli. She fell to her knees and wept tears of pain. I grasped her palm into my own and clutched it tight as she rose to her feet. Once we arrived in Ms. Luma’s classroom, I took my seat to the left hand side of E. We were the only souls in the classroom. It feel empty and dark. I wanted to hide away from the light and sob; I didn’t though. Elli’s tears from her fall are splattered on her face like there was a food fight, but with water. Her eyes where a puffy red and her irises were

“No wonder. It’s been five years since--,” he cut himself off as goose bumps shuttered up and down his back. His breathing hitched as the memories of the aristocrat came flashing back towards him. The hunter could remember every single detail of that man’s face from the snow-white hair to high cheekbones and sharp turned nose, but the thing that he could recall the most about the man were his eyes. They were black eyes that could easily be mistaken to be bright and lightly, but in actuality belonged to a man filled with nothing but insanity and malicious intent.…

Her parents had been so excited when they found out they were having a boy, but the tides turned and it was a girl. He had the same dark skin and black curly hair that made them all uniform. But what set him apart from the rest was that he was hopeful- for this had been His Choice. When the Oburoni’s had left, he had not screamed or shrieked with pain like the rest, instead, he had cried. He had cried and cried until the tears refused to come; this way he knew that he was crying out of pain, not sorrow. He did not cover the gashes with the cloth, instead, he pressed hard onto the wounds making the blood flow out quicker.…

Relating to this theory is also the fact, that the eyes are primarily mentioned when the protagonists are involved in immoral behaviour. This is shown when Nick and Tom “walked … under Doctor Eckleburg’s persistent stare” (??, ch. 2), on the way to meet Tom’s mistress. It seems Tom knows that he is being watched and condemned for his actions as he “[exchanges] a frown with Doctor Eckleburg” (??, ch. 2). The eyes are…

In the beginning the author uses symbolism to show the character’s motivation. “One of his eyes resembled that of a vulture-a pale blue eye, with film over it”. In other words He saw the eye and it reminded him about death. Likewise, “…I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid myself of that eye forever”. For example The eye had implanted a seed to kill the old man. He did not hate the old man the only reason for this death was because of that eye. On the outside, he made everyone believe he was fine, on the inside he was plotting.…

We're going to the library!"(Alice) With that reply I starting gliding to the floor with Silvy in a princess carry, while I knew she could fly I also realized she wouldn't come right away with me and it would take quite alot of convincing otherwise so the best method was to bring her now and apologize later. After all we are great friends and she knows how I think by know so she should have seen this coming. Setting down on the ground we began our walk to the library with a slightly grumpy Silvy trailing a few steps behind me. Throughout the corridors we passed dozens of maids who with praticed and proffestional ease bowed to us or more likley Silvy as we passed through. Eventually arriving in front of a large oak wood door that seemed to lookout of place in the mostly whitewashed castle.…

First, he saw Edda, as she had been when they were children. Her hair crowned her head and when the light caught it, it burned it into a hazy orange. A heavy coat was wrapped around her shoulders and a long blue scarf wrapped smoothly along her neck. Her cheeks were rosy, the cold nipping at her skin. She was smiling, so dazzling it hurt. She reached for him, grabbing his hand, and pulled him along as she ran.…

In the Tell Tale Heart the main character, the narrator, has a problem with an old man, the antagonist, whom he is living with. The odd thing is that the problem has nothing to do with old man, how he acts, or even his attitude towards the narrator. It is simply one of the old man's eyes which is blind or he can't see a hundred percent in one eye. The narrator's description of the eye is that it resembled that of a vulture, pale blue with a film over it. When the narrator looked at it, it caused his blood to run cold. This drove him crazy and caused him to kill the old man…
