Ellie Corrie Chapter Summaries
At the beginning of the chapter, the group were having a rest and Ellie was on a tree house to see if there are soldier scanning the area so she could warn the rest of the group when she sees one. While Ellie was on the watch she started having flashback about those good days that she and Corrie had when they were little such as playing games . After that Corrie joined her and talked about the games they used to play and how everything changed when they grew up “Mmm, it just faded away, didn’t? We grew up I guess. Other things came along like boys” (104). Homer also came along with their conversation when he came to check on them. But they were interrupted when they heard sound, familiar sound “..A jet screamed across the hills, so low that …show more content…
The jet was chased by three more jets and they were hoping for it to survive. After a while they came up of a planned to make lists of the things they needed and load up Corrie’s Toyota. They would also do the same to Kevin and Ellie’s to find more useful materials such as clothes, tools, petrol, food, and etc. anything useful, but of course they can’t always avoid to arguing with each other. Moreover, after they have made the list they all agreed and made it clear. This event is interesting because having them arguing to each other and making the situation complicated can lead them to nothing. I wonder what will happened to them when they are on a violence situation and everyone are trying to decide on which safer place is the safer to go?

The second event that occurs in chapter nine is the helicopter hovering and observing above and around the house. It was after they planned and made lists of all the things they needed

The soldiers probably already knew that there were people in the house “....ninety seconds after the when a black jet, fast and lethal, came in low from the west” (116). They were watching from sheare’s window. It flew with fast speed but all of a sudden a rocket hit the house “One rocket hit the house...The house came apart in slow motion” (116). The house blew apart and all of its parts was scattered everywhere Bits of debris landed on the top of shearers’ roof. It took a long time for the all the parts of the house to keep falling on the ground. After that the heavy fragments faded and small pieces of materials were scattered along the place. The second rocket slammed in the hillside behind the house. The whole section of the hill exploded and fell away. The jet turned and did a circuit above the river to watch the scene and enjoy it with their eyes. The group were safe and sound inside the shearers’ quarters. However, it makes wonder what could have happen to them when they were still in the house when didn’t even know that a rocket would be hitting the

Cheryl Fahrenholz throughout chapter 3 discusses various laws and acts that govern electronic health records and the principal functions that they provide. I picked five of these terms that I believe are the most important. Case management, Credentialing, informed consent, health record and performance improvement. Case-management is one of the most vital parts of any clinical faciality as it is through these individuals that the goals and livelihood of the patient are heard and responded to with corrective measures. The book describes this as an “ongoing review of clinical care conducted” safeguarding the patient against any treatment that is not in their best care (Fahrenholz, page 78 chapter 3).…

According to Chapter 4, Karen Horney “wanted to become a physician and became the first women to be accepted into medical school” (Chapter 4, pg. 106). Chapter 4 also mentions how, “Karen’s mother supported her decision and desire to want an education even though Karen’s father was against it” (Chapter 4, pg. 106). It appears to me that Karen Horney was a feminist, meaning that she strongly believed that women can be independent, have rights just like men and can be successful just like men. It appears to me that Karen Horney was born in the time-frame to where women did not have the same rights have man, were not independent or able to get successful jobs as men because they were considered a man’s job and women’s job mainly was to be a…

Members of the Evelyn Wood Reading Program make it their goal to teach others how to at least double their reading rate, increase understanding, concentration and overall assist the student understanding good methods for note-taking, test-taking, and studying. They begin with sub-vocal linear reading, and progress to efficiently flying through the material in an orderly fashion and continue to add reading exercises to increase the reader’s average words-per-minute. The author, Stanley D. Frank, encourages the reader to find a quiet setting in which he/she can concentrate well, along with arranging schedules to follow, and setting aside small study sessions after setting a personalized goal for the project. Logical notes can be achieved by recall patterns, which allow organization by creating patterns from the key concepts, important words, and information taught. Along with note-taking, supersonic reading is highly encouraged by reading only with the eyes, understanding the big pictures, and using underlining to read faster and decrease other distractions. In order to write a paper with supersonic writing, the instructors of the Evelyn Wood program encourage writers to carefully organize their information before writing the first and final draft. The Evelyn Wood program takes into account that test-taking is just as important as swift reading and writing. They assist readers in…

The reader here is also supposed to make assumptions. This time, it is not about the characters, but about the house itself. The reader doesn’t know much about this house, just that it is being taken over by noises. The characters themselves react much in the same way many of the readers would. They got scared and started abandoning these parts of the house. “I took Irene’s arm and forced her to run with me to the wrought-iron door, not waiting to look back” (p. 41). The main characters of the story didn’t even check to see what the noise was. They heard a noise, and ran. At first they just abandoned the areas of the house that the noise was in, but later ended up abandoning everything; including the house. Neither the characters nor the reader know what the sound was and they never will. They are just meant to make assumptions, and because it is the unknown that is taking over the house, it triggers fear. The reader tends to make false assumptions, assuming the worst over the more logical answer. The reader is also meant to imagine what would happen if they heard noises in certain areas of their own home. While it is very unlikely that the events of the story come true, the reader still imagines it. They don’t care about being reasonable here, they care about saving themselves from an unknown…

These chapters highlight several important series. First, we have Matilda Robert who has been a whore since the beginning of part I, but she was always being consistent with the Rangers however, I did not foresee that by having Shadrach and Matilda together. Obviously, it happens. Moreover, we can feel how the other Rangers feel about Matilda feeling when Shadrach went to kill antelope. They did not really care about Matilda, and they even hope that she would be a whore again. Everyone can feel Matilda impression after being a whore for that and finally find a man, therefore, I feel like she is being genuine by her reaction and most people would have the reaction. One important is Call frustration after being caught by the Mexicans. He could…
