The Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate mission statement follows the KISS rule: Keep it short and simple. Their statement is striking in its simplicity, as if there is nothing more to say than ‘1. We intend to be the best, and 2. It’s important that we exceed your expectations’. That strength of resolve for the mission was what I took away from the statement: This was their reason for being. There is no ambiguity in their statement or in the way it is able to inform their business strategy.
The ‘About Us’ page manages to unabashedly explain how they’re at the top of the field in many different areas of the real estate industry in order to be full service. Moreover, the page goes on to tie in future business by mentioning their ‘Senior Services’ in the same paragraph as ‘Florida Office’ (Florida is one of the most popular place for retirees in the US). I’m not sure Prudential Douglas Elliman’s statement hits all six, but there still is a lot of promise packed into those two sentences. Together with the excellent web layout, the designer seemed to understand that there are different types of readers, and this website caters to a number of them. Accordingly there are well written paragraphs that describe, without directly referencing the mission statement, how they go about the business of being number one. Consumers are attracted to winners and there is a list of facts on the website targeting the busy reader that just wants the facts and not to read through an entire
