Emerald Park Case Study
We have interviewed Mrs Woo.Say Mei She had worked in Emerald Park for 25 years. She is a manager of Emerald Park which give the place for student to stay whom study in Melaka Campus. It located in Bukit Beruang, Melaka established from year 2001. This hostel has been the alternative accommodation for the Melaka MMU students over 10 years. It divided into two different types which names Emerald Apartments and Emerald Residence. They are same located right at the entrance to multimedia University, but Emerald Apartments is for male or female tenants to stay and Emerald Residence is only for female to stay. But The Arc is indeed within 15 minutes of walking distance to Multimedia University(MMU). Besides MMU, it is minutes driving(free bus) to Limkokwing University. On my opinion, Emerald Park just onlt can get the profit from mmu students, however The Act can get profits and income from different university and because Limkokwing not only for Malaysia students, most student educated in Limkokwing is from other country such as African, China, Japan and others. That mean The Act can recieive the foreign money with the high exchange rate. We can learn that this two university also serve for MMU students, but we can see that The Act is more brilliant to making profit from the twice …show more content…
The manager just only want to make sure their make profits every year. Thus that is very disavantage if compare to other hostel yet other hostel such as ixora or university green(UG) they all gt the long-term strategic plan. On my opinion, Emerald Park just only can get the same profit every year. But other hostel will take their chance to open brances in other state or use their trademark to use in other product, then they can gain more profits in other long term way. We can learn that if we didnt have the long term plan, then we will stand over the year again and we wont have gorwth up in knowledge and
