ABSTRACT
Emotions in an organization play a very large role on how an entire organization communicates within itself and to the outside world. The consequences of emotional states in the workplace in both behavioral and attitudinal have substantial significance for individuals, groups and society. Negative emotions such as fear, anger, stress has adverse effects on the organizational development. Stress is an expected component of life. When stress becomes too much to handle or becomes chronic, it leads to burnout on the job, strained relationships at home and a miserable life. With the current environmental turmoil that is forcing rather dramatic organizational changes today, stress has become a particularly important issue. To ensure continued organizational performance and to maintain the competitive advantage, organizations must therefore constantly implement stress management policies.
