Emotional Intelligence In The Butterfly Circus

The short film of The Butterfly Circus reflected four components of emotional intelligence. At the beginning of the film, Will demonstrated a lack self-awareness. This barrier was due to his environment of being a part of the sideshow, making him feel helpless and insignificant. It was not until the ringleader, Mr. Mendez, told Will that he was magnificent, this was the start of Will questioning his self-worth. In the river scene where Will requested assistance from members of The Butterfly Circus, he once again saw himself as a helpless individual. However, this time Will attempted to help himself and succeeded in self-awareness of his capabilities.
