Nowadays, female university students are a higher level of women’s knowledge groups. The number of female students multiplied year by year, from 36. 7% to 44%. However, more and more university graduates complain that graduation does not equate to employment and many female college graduates find it very hard to find a satisfying position. There are many limits for female university students on jobs. According to the statistics, I think there are four causes of it.
First, the extreme contradiction between supply and demand in the labor market increases female college students ' employment difficulty. The supply of jobs cannot keep track with the increasing of college students. The employers have to raise the standard of employees. Therefore, it makes college students difficult to find a job, especially female university students.
Second, Traditional gender stereotypes and discrimination hinder female college students ' employment. In china, there is an old conventional concept that males overweigh females. They think females just need to be at home to take care of family well. And some employers overstated the negative effects about childbirth, parenting and menopause on women's employment, contributing to women's disadvantage in the competition for jobs.
Third, the policies and regulations are inadequate the social security system is not perfect, constraining female college students’ employment. Although the laws stipulate the employers can’t refuse the females because of gender, it doesn’t define the legal responsibility of employers and punishment which they break the regulation in fact. And some female university students’ right awareness is weak, they don’t have the awareness to protect themselves when they meet illegal occasions.
