The control group averaged 19.8 years in age with an average resting heartbeat of 66.0 bpm and with an average heart rate during exercise of 105.2 bpm. On the other hand, the group who drank energy drinks averaged 19.4 years in age with an average resting heartbeat of 70.4 bpm and with an average heart rate during exercise of 118.4 bpm. When comparing the average resting heart rate between the two groups, there was an 6.67% increase in resting heart rate in the group who drank energy drinks.
