Work Preference 2 My work preference is to be self employed. Being self employed will allow more control over my own ideas, projects and the work that I would do. I tend to work better alone. Self employment also allows flexibility in my schedule. Self employment allows individuals to be creative and imaginative as they would like to be. Being self employed allow individuals to do something that is not common in the workplace. Being self employed will allow more control over my own ideas, projects and the work that I would do. In other words, I won’t have to get approval from a boss or colleague. I would have all the say so. People usually consider me to be friendly and outgoing. However, in a work setting involving a team project, I turn bossy and controlling. I like to make decisions. When working for a company or another individual they are the ones to make all the decisions. However, I do understand that being self employed there has to be contact with others, but I will be the individual to make the final decisions of my own business. Being self employed allow control.
Self employment will also allow flexibility in my schedule. When you are self employed you have the option to decide when you will work or even what time of the day you will work. Being self employed doesn’t mean you can take off or even work less, but you get to be more decisive of the times. Actually when you are self employed you have to out in more hours to maintain your business. When working for a company or an individual you have to work on the schedule they provide you, whether it fits your schedule or not. For instance, if your child has a doctor’s appointment and it conflicts with your company’s work hours, this can be a drag. On the other hand, if you are self employed you have the option to change
