You didn’t only help me improve but made your class entertaining I didn’t mind waking up in the morning since I knew I was going to my english class with Mrs. Gholdoian for 1st period. Since the first day of school you put our class to work never really wasted a day of school, in your class every day counted. Last year when I had to deliver my speech in front of the class I found myself quivering since I didn’t know how to deliver the speech. After seeing multiple speeches here in class like Obama’s speeches and Bush’s as well. We didn’t only watch them but break down their strategies, emotions and what their organization was to get to the point of the speech. When it came down to writing the speech it wasn’t a problem, it didn’t only help me in your class but also helped me deliver my speech for other classes like spanish and history.
One of my favorite writings was the Piktochart, I felt worried about doing it but I really liked how it came out I thought it was going to be tough but after having seeing some examples and how to do it I got straight to work and know I am able to create a Piktochart for any occasion. After reading the book Of Men and Mice and working on our 7th chapter for the book, helped me better understand what writers think themselves when you write multiple

I wouldn’t have been able to improve my listening skill without your help. We didn’t only hear our own classmates deliver speeches but we also listen and analyzed our president’s speeches. We also read books and listened to a machine read the book for us for multiple hours.
Now that our school year has came to the end I want to thank you for taking your time and attention to our class and improving our educational level. We all learned many new vocabulary words, learned how to write new type of genres and had an amazing

The theme of the story “A&P” is “always weigh your consequences before taking actions”. The formal aspects used by the author to develop the story were symbolism, point of view, and setting. A&P written by John Updike first published in 1961 is about, the narrator, Sammy who is checking groceries when he realizes that three barefoot girls in bathing suits have walked into the store. The leader of the three, who has her bathing suit straps down, catches his eye. What is death penalty? Death penalty is when a state or the government issues the punishment of execution to some one who has committed a crime. It has always been one of the most highly debated issues in the United States. Many Americans are against the capital punishment or commonly knows as the death penalty because they fear its too expensive or there are religious reasons to oppose the death penalty or some other reasons. But my point of view is just like the bible and what it says "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" meaning if you killed some body you ought to be killed also. Most people aren't worried about the life after committing crimes because they know that the laws aren't strict enough to make them to stop committing crimes. To these people, laws don't hold them back from doing what they want to do. Capital punishment is mainly used for murderers and other serious criminals dangerous to our society. People who oppose the capital punishment clearly don't feel the pain and the trouble the victims and their families has gone through. So, is capital punishment necessary? Yes, capital punishment deters crime and gives closure to families of the victim.…

Most especially I would like to thank our principal, Mrs. Lowe, for making our school a wonderful place to be and a national school to watch. We wish you the best of luck wherever you may go. English 101 has been an amazing class and I feel like I have grown more than I expected. I was apprehensive about taking an English class because I have been away from school for almost seventeen years. I have not written an essay since 1996 and I knew many things have changed. I was especially concerned with citations. However, I found myself being able to work though citations with little effort.…

It has gone so incredibly fast. I can honestly say that I am going to miss this class. I am not going to miss the drive to Collinsville, though. I feel that I have grown a great bit while making my way through this Cross Cultural cluster. I never once dreaded having to work all day and then having to go to class and sit for four hours. My classmates are great. As a class, we always made it fun and entertaining. I do hope that I am blessed with having them in class with the rest of my journey seeking my bachelor’s degree. I have plenty of class left to conquer. Lastly, thank you, Professor Anderson! You made this cluster to be unlike any that I have experienced thus far. You made me feel comfortable from day one. I am a real big fan of your spontaneousness and flexibility. You could really feel your passion each night we met. You could tell you wanted to be there teaching us. Again, thank you. And, it would bring me great joy to have you again as my…

We’ve been through a lot, KEEP, Hiroshima, Izu, Showa Park... wait I wasn’t really there in all of that. I’ve actually only been here for a year, but coming to ASIJ was a life changing experience, and I feel like I have been here for pretty much my whole life. As this year went by, I already felt like you guys were a part of my family and even in this year, that seemed to fly right before my eyes, we all have been through a lot. Fun times, hard times, sad times, and even those dreadful days with too many tests. Even if this is the American School in Japan, all of us come from all over the world and that’s what makes us global, and I had realized as the year went by that what’s unique about our grade is each and every one of us is different, with our own personality, hobbies, and character. Remember, Bonus 30 SEL guys. I learnt that we all had a unique way of expressing ourselves, which taught me to…
