English- Friend Essay
“Friends are like stars, you can’t always see them but, they are always there”- Santiz. My first day of middle school, I met Katy on the bus. We were in the same grade, but never actually talked to one another. I decided to sit with her and make conversation. We have been best friends ever since. Katy is my best friend, she is really close with my family, she has helped me through personal crises and she has taught me how to play volleyball. Katy has always been very close with my family. For as long as I can remember, they have always gotten along. They have gotten along so well that my little sister looks up to Katy and goes to her when she needs advice. My family loves her so much, they even invite her on family camping trips with us. I am so thankful they get along so well. Katy has always been at my family’s side through smiles and crisis. Katy has always been there when a family crisis has occurred. When my grandpa died last year, I was out of state on a camping trip. Katy called me and talked to me the whole night. She really helped me through this personal tragedy. At his funeral, she was there for the visitation and funeral. Afterword, she took me out to the movies to take my mind off things. I can count on her because I know she will always be there in good times and bad. Up until 6th grade, I never knew how to play volleyball until Katy taught me. We were messing around in her yard one day and she decided to teach me. The level of patience she had with me was unbelievable. She taught me so much, we both ended up making the school team the next year. Many of my fondest volleyball memories have been with her. When someone is very close with your family, stays by your side through a crisis and teaches you to play a sport, you become best friends. Because of all these reasons, Katy and I are inseparable. I am proud to call her my best friend. How did your best friend come to be?

When it came to her parents’ side I did feel as though she was loved. Her parents tried endlessly to keep her involved in current events and just small talk. When she was finally growing up I felt disheartened when Kathy gradually grew away from her mother. It made me saddened beyond all reasons. I did find it to be interesting when her parents gave her a typewriter which symbolized the love they always did have for their “dreamer.” It really did show how much they cared for Kathy.…

My best friend Sedona Love taught me something this year, something I would never have had seen with my own two eyes until she showed me. She taught me that when I am having trouble at home or life isn’t treating me so well, that she will always be there to listen and give their best input. She may sometimes be sarcastic, silly, goofy, mean, crazy, sometimes plain out embarrassing, and even care too much, but in the long run she is always going to be there to listen and not talk, hear without judging, and be there with nothing in return. In class sometimes she can be pretty critical but I know that’s just how our relationship works. I may get called silly, stupid, a dumb blonde, an idiot, but when I need my best friend the most I know that she will be there for me. When I needed a shoulder to cry on or when I needed a hug the most she was always there for me, when I felt there was no sense in life she showed me there was way more to life than I thought. A couple of weeks ago I went into severe anaphylactic shock and she was right there, she brought me my backpack and the things I needed most at the time. She stood up for me when my so called friends were talking behind my back not really knowing what was going on. She was also the only one who cared enough to call me and see how I was doing, she put everything aside just so she could make sure that I was okay. Not…

I was in the sixth grade when I first met my best friend Jamilex. Jamilex and I were really close, we did everything together; our homework, went to the movies, hung out in the park, and often went her house where we had conversations about guys. We tried to spend time together as often as possible, because we didn't see each other during school hours since she attended a different junior High school. We saw each other every day after school to do homework together. I never thought I would finally meet a true friend but you know what they say, "Never say Never". I tried to do my best to keep her happy and be there for her when she needed a shoulder to cry on. Jamilex and I were so different but at the same time so alike. Her favorite color…

Perry’s religious family played an important part in her life. In her story her family did contribute to her ultimate goal in life. Growing up with a religious family and not being able to listen or watch anything that doesn’t have to do with religion was hard for Katy Perry. All Perry could listen to would be gospel music she says "The only things I was allowed to listen to were the Sister Act 1 and 2 soundtracks." (Perry). Being in a religious family consisted of her going to many church activities, “The presence of god in her life was absolute.” (Perry). Her parents traveled a lot to preach, they would move almost every two years, putting up barriers in Perry’s life. Perry had gone to Nashville to record a gospel album, Katy Hudson, which failed. The adversity of only listening to gospel music became an opportunity to further her career in music.…

She hopes that he will not feel hungry during the school time and knows it can help him to concentrate in his studies. Ms. Kelly is also a sympathetic lady.
