English Literature Writing Course Analysis
As a writer I can say four years of learning English literature in high school, did not give me a clear perception over any of the stuff I had to prepare for when taking my first English literature writing course, when I say this I mean I was clueless going into my second semester of college when I signed up for the course I was confident at the start of the class then begin to realize my weaknesses and my strong abilities as a writer towards the end of the semester. Critically I will analyze previous works obtained in class this semester, but also as a writer how this college experience has pushed me to become consistent as a student personally, responsibly, critically, and quantitatively all having to do with the involvement of literacy. …show more content…
Going into my second semester I signed up for 12 hours, one of which was (WRC 1013), now when I said responsibly, this is what I had to deal with, I got penalized for not doing a response assignment I had been assigned. This made me realize how different things were I had to adjust to not only turning in online assignments but also in class assignments as well. This woke me up as a student and made me alert to everything as far as assignments, personally as a student this made me be more responsible in general. When I got my first graded essay back I looked over it and felt like the worst person ever at that moment, just because I thought I would perform well but I was wrong. When I got the results of my second essay is when I begin to worry and notice the same mistakes, so I made changes, and instead of always being only focused on a strong introduction I also worked on strong points for developing strong ideas and staying on topic for my body paragraphs. In return this let me know what I was doing wrong and what I needed to do to fix the same errors I kept
