Not everyone who enters college or university is successful. Some students drop out of college before they complete their degree. Others may have to repeat courses and end up taking longer than they had planned. However, many of these problems can be avoided. There are several reasons why students do not do well at university. Some students do not know how to plan their time effectively. Some have poor study habits such as the inability to take notes or read effectively. When they face an assignment, they do not know where to begin. This causes delays in completing their work. Some students seem to go to university only to have fun.
