Part 1: Nouns Nouns comes from the Latin word “Nomen” which means name. Noun are persons, places, things, event or ideas.
Nouns Can either be common or proper. Common nouns are general name, while proper nouns are specific names.

Other Type of Nouns: 1. Concrete Nouns – Nouns that can be touched, felt, smelled, tasted, seen, or heard. Pocky is an example of conrete nouns because it can be tasted. 2. Abstract Nouns – Nouns that cannot be experienced by any senses. Emotions and feelings are examples of abstract nouns. 3. Collective Nouns – Noun is used to define a group of objects. 4. Mass Nouns – Nouns that cannot be counted. It refers to some unit. It cannot be directly modified by a numeral. It cannot take plural forms. 5. Count Nouns – Nouns that can be counted. It can be modified by a numeral. It occurs in both singular and plural form. It can co-occur with quantificational determiners like many, more, most, etc. 6. Compound Nouns – Nouns that are formed by combining two or more different words
