English, the undisputed champion of the world
Today English is used in every corner of the globe, and it is definitely the most spoken language on Earth. A lot of countries use English as their mother tongue and the inhabitants speak fluent English. Other countries give children English courses from a very young age. Most people have easy access to English via television and the Internet, and it is quite easy to learn because of its large amount of speakers. English is becoming a bigger and bigger part of our lives, whether we like it or not.

English is also used as a “common” language between people with different mother tongues. If you speak English, that shouldn’t be a problem for you (unless you are anti-social).
English will open up a lot of doors for you and give you unique opportunities. Being bilingual or able to speak more than two languages increases your status in today’s society, especially if one of these languages is English. Lands like India and Spain have their very own versions of English: Hinglish and Spanglish. It sounds a little different from the “correct” English, but it is highly understandable.
