DRUG COURT TREAMENT AND SUCCESS
This paper is about two articles on Drug Court. The first one is, “Drug Courts and the Logic of Coerced Treatment.” And the second one is, “Enhancing Drug Court Success.”
Both of these article look at the different types of treatment that Drug Court uses and its success rates in the different categories. For one to truly understand what Drug Court strives to achieve we must look at studies done on the way treatment was provided and the success of each type. This is very important for those looking to help improve the structure and function of the services provided. To be able to best help those who struggle with drug or alcohol addictions, we must look closely at what treatment has been successful and which treatment has had a higher rate of failure. For one to be able to help in the best possible way and produce the best possible results, they need to know the effects of other treatment methods. They can learn from the various ways and outcomes and the benefits of the services provided. Drug addiction is a growing and very serious problem in our society today. It takes more and more people’s lives away every day. Most of the people in their addiction cannot escape without outside forces to help them. I feel it’s very beneficial to know that most drug users do not just go get help, they have to be coerced, and have to continue to be monitored for a lengthy period of time. I believe that the history is as important to become aware of in order to continually stay ahead of treatment and the finds of new intervention
