I. CHAPTER ONE I.I INTRODUCTION I.I.I History
BRIEF HISTORY OF CROSSROADS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
Crossroads Christian Academy Foundation Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization, committed and dedicated in teaching the little children through a Christian education.

It was on February 4, 2003 when the pastoral staff together with some concern leaders of the Church of God-Bacoor came to realize its dream to open a Christian School using the leased building located at 353 Unit G-KB Molino Building, Molino 3, Bacoor, Cavite. The school’s realization of its dream started with four (4) teachers and sixty students in the Preschool Department.

Shortly after Pastor Dante Peña, Senior Pastor of the COG-Bacoor shared the burden to help the poor and the needy children through a Christian education, they sensed God’s leading to establish an institution that would care for them and lead them to the saving power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The school is committed to respond to the needs of its students to spiritual and academic excellence and to provide assistance without interference and opportunity without obligation.
Crossroads Christian Academy now caters to 100 plus students this school year 2010-2011. It is registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission and recognized by the Department of Education to legally operate in the locality of Bacoor, Cavite. The school is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International headed by Ken Smitherman since 2003 up to present.

“Slow down, future leaders of America at play,” a sign engrained in my memory as a result of the numerous volunteer trips I took to Mountain Mission School. Mountain Mission School (MMS) is a Christian boarding school and home to many children, who come from devastating backgrounds and poverty. Receiving no government funding, Mountain Mission School located in Grundy, Virginia operates solely on private donations and generous charities from churches all over America. In addition to a school, MMS played a key role in my life. Not only was MMS my home but also my church starting from second grade up until I graduated high school.…

The MidAmerica Nazarene University motto is a “Pioneering Spirit, Passion to Serve, and a Purposeful Life.” Each one of these can be summarized into one common theme; God’s will. Growing up as a Christian, we are constantly instructed to adhere to the plans God has for us. The idea is simple; however, following His plans is complex. Beginning at a young age, I have always believed that I would become an elementary school teacher. God had a different plan in mind for my life.…

Beginning high school I was seeking a place that would prepare me to contribute to the world. Looking to evolve as a leader and also obtain academic excellence through firm guidance and also practice a strong faith tradition. I am sad to say that Pius XI High School was not able to provide these characteristics to me. The experience has been eye opening.
