    1. After interviewing Jordan Carter it seems to me like he is very entrepreneurial and driven. It was funny giving him the test because his results had a little of each, but the most answers he had was at being a fantastic manager. After I read him the results he was very confused and shocked because I believe he thought that he was going to hear something differently even saying “what if I don’t agree with the results?” When it comes to success in the real world compared to the test I gave him, it doesn’t seem to me like it is that accurate. Jordan Carter has been having a very good time with success. His sales are sky rocketing and his team might look to expand next year. Unfortunately I do not know if using my assessment results would help him much in the business world, but I think talking about why he believes he is successful, where he sees the business going and where his goals are directed for the next year, may be a factor in making him think about new ideas to continue in a successful direction. I really enjoyed talking business with him and just seeing his goal orientated mindset play out in real life. He seems to be all about customer service and rewarding his employees which obviously plays a factor in why his business has been and will continue to expand.…

There are two sides to every debate, and the "what makes an entrepreneur" argument has raged for decades with neither side able to conclusively prove their case. There are many who believe that an entrepreneur must possess personality traits such as vision, passion and drive that are innate and cannot be taught. Others argue that the skills of evaluating opportunities, motivating people and operating a business are easily passed on to eager students looking to be entrepreneurs. The truth is that both sides are right and it's time for a compromise: Entrepreneurs are born and made. Some people may be natural entrepreneurs and immediately open a business, others will have studied and trained long and hard before doing so, and while each may enjoy some success, neither will be as successful as the person who possesses the inherent qualities and has spent the time to get the education and experience of the business world.…

    1. Discipline: Plenty of business experts claim that you can’t get anywhere as an entrepreneur without vision or creativity, but that’s simply not the truth. Instead, the one quality that no entrepreneur can be successful without is discipline. To build an idea into a business, you have to have the discipline to spend time slogging through the least fun parts of running a business (like the bookkeeping), rather than taking that time to do something fun. When you’re the boss, there’s no one to keep you at work except yourself — and there’s no short-term consequences for skipping out early. Sure, if an entrepreneur plays hooky enough he knows that the business just won’t happen, but it’s very hard to convince someone that ‘just this once’ won’t hurt (and to keep ‘just this once’ from becoming a daily occurrence).…

South Africa’s national development strategy along with numerous other countries strategies, view small business development and enterprise empowerment as an imperative for economic growth.(ACT102, 1996). The course provides the students with an opportunity to develop concepts, attitudes and philosophies about business and entrepreneurship. It includes understanding the requirements of establishing a new venture or managing a small business. It also addresses multiple functions within the firm emphasizing those that contrast with established firms and discusses problems and issues unique to managing small businesses. It relies strongly on a class room lecture, group discussions and case study approach to learning to equip students with knowledge and skills which they can apply to fluid and often, ambiguous, work environments. The lecture sessions are planned to utilize a lot of teaching strategies in order to expose students to innovative practices in teaching, learning and assessing management practices.…
